What is Gill Children's Services?

Gill Children's Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to be a funding source of last resort for Tarrant County children with unmet needs.


What can I apply for?

When your child cannot find assistance anywhere else, you may apply for financial assistance at Gill. We receive many types of requests, but some examples include dental exams, summer school tuition, prescriptions, birth certificates, diapers, medical equipment, tutoring, hearing aids, etc. If you are unsure if your child's need is last resort, call our office.


What does "last resort" mean?

At Gill Children's Services, "last resort" means that the family's and the community's resources are exhausted. We look at the family's disposable income, payment options, etc. to determine if the family's need. We also require that other nonprofit and government programs have been contacted. If other programs are unable to provide for the child, the family may apply at Gill.


How do I apply?

You may either apply online or print our paper application and send it.


How do I apply online?

You may access our online application here. Please fill out as much information as you can. You can attach documents to your application such as your income verification, a letter from your pediatrician, etc. You may save your application and finish it at another time by clicking "save" at the bottom of the page. When you are ready to submit your application, press the "submit" button at the bottom of the page. You should then see a page that says, "Nice Job!". If you submitted your application and did not see that page, please contact us at 817-332-5070 for help.


How do I apply if I do not have access to a computer?

You may print a hard copy of our application here. Once you fill out the application, you can mail it to our office at 555 Hemphill Street, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76104. You may also attach the application to an email and send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you do not have access to a printer or scanner, please call us at 817-332-5070 and ask for an applicaiton to be mailed to your home. You may also apply in person at our office Monday through Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.


Can I get help more than once?

No, Gill is a one-time resource. If you have an emergency and you have been assisted by Gill before, call (817) 332-5070 to speak with a case manager.


Is Gill an insurance provider?

No, Gill does not offer insurance.


Is Gill a government program?

No, Gill is a nonprofit organization.


Does Gill assist undocumented children?

Yes, Gill serves children regardless of citizenship.


Do you have to be uninsured to apply?

No, Gill serves children with and without insurance coverage.


Do I need to apply at Gill before purchasing the service or equipment I need or scheduling an appointment?

Yes, clients must be approved before booking appointments, purchasing equipment, etc. Gill does not provide reimbursements. Gill pays the service provider directly.


I am a Case Manager/Social Worker. Can I fill out an application on behalf of my client?

Yes, if your client's parent or guardian is unable to apply. Call (817) 332-5070 to speak with a case manager.
