The program starts March 1, 2010, when individuals and organizations can make a pledge by going to their online pledge and payment page.

The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial is excited to offer this program to partner with 501 (c) 3 charitable organizations that contribute so much to the Tarrant County community. The program generated $3.7 million for Tarrant County charities in 2009 recognized as one of the top Birdies for Charity program on the PGA TOUR.

The concept is simple: Charitable Organizations solicit pledges from individuals and corporations for every birdie made during the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. In 2009, 1,412 birdies were recorded during the tournament.

The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever allows the “shopper” to find 30 unique charitable giving opportunities from 12 great charities in Tarrant County.  These gifts will make a meaningful difference in the community this holiday season.  Created by local businessman and philanthropist Elliot Goldman and his wife Heather as a way to raise funds and awareness for local charities, the catalog will have gifts ranging in price from $10 to $5,000.  Their goal was to have something in there for everyone.  Purchases can be made online, and by phone or mail.  Through the generous support of local foundations and corporations, 100% of the tax-deductible donations will go directly to the designated organizations. As an added bonus, every purchase from the catalog will just make you feel good inside.
