About Us

Every child deserves the opportunity to be healthy, supported, and ready to learn. Yet sometimes, even caring families and a strong network of community resources cannot provide everything a child needs.

That’s where Gill Children’s Services comes in.

Gill is  a safety net for Tarrant County children whose medical, dental, physical, social, psychological, or educational needs have not been met by other community resources. We help children access the care and support they need to thrive, from medications, hearing aids, and eyeglasses to dental care, therapy, summer school tuition assistance, and much more.

Our role is not to replace the many organizations and professionals already serving children in our community. Instead, we work alongside them to fill the gaps when other resources have been exhausted or are unable to meet a child’s specific need.

Children may be referred to Gill by a school nurse, social worker, physician, or another caring professional. We work closely with the family and explore every available option. Sometimes, another community organization is able to provide the right support, and we are happy to help connect the family with that resource. When no other solution is available, Gill steps in to help.

The need for this safety net continues to grow. As Tarrant County grows and families face increasingly complex challenges, we remain committed to making sure children are not left without essential care simply because there is nowhere else to turn.

We also partner with physicians, dentists, therapists, educators, and other service providers who generously help us stretch every dollar. Together, we can make limited resources go further and reach more children.

At the heart of Gill is a simple belief: when a child has a critical need and every other door has closed, there should still be a door open.
