Children's oral health is suffering in the wake of the pandemic.

We have seen a dramatic increase in the need for dental treatment in the last several months. Skipped cleanings and unhealthy pandemic snacking has resulted in dental decay like we have not seen before. Recently we were contacted by the parent of a four-year-old girl who needed 12 stainless steel crowns, 9 pulpotomies, and a hospital call. Cases like this are becoming more and more common. We have provided 63% more emergency funding for dental treatment since this time last year.

While there are wonderful low-cost clinics here in Tarrant County, the clinics cannot accommodate children who need extensive treatment under anesthesia. The resulting anesthesia and facility costs are completely overwhelming, especially to a child who is uninsured.

You can help a child like Witten!

KW001 Witten is a five-year-old boy from Fort Worth. Witten has a syndrome called Weills-Marchesani, which means he needs to see a pediatric specialist for his dental treatment. Between his family's medical bills and student loans, the cost of the treatment is too much for them to bear alone. He needs people like YOU to help provide him with a healthy smile.

We need your help.

We are relying on you to continue to serve children when no one else can. Will you join us by making a donation?
